Learning objectives

Day 3: ECG – Diagnosis

Attendees will be able to correctly position ECG leads and understand the principles of wave and interval interpretation. They will learn to identify common normal rhythmas and arrhythmias such as sinus arrhythmia, ventricular premature complexes, different types of atrioventricular blocks and atrial fibrillation in clinical practice.

Through practical examples, participants will develop a systematic approach to ECG interpretation and understand the clinical implications of various electrical abnormalities.

Day 4: ECG – Treatment

Delegates will become familiar with the classification, indications, and contraindications of antiarrhythmic drugs commonly used in small animal practice.

They will learn to manage bradyarrhythmias and tachyarrhythmias based on clinical urgency and patient stability.

By the end of the day, participants will be equipped to choose appropriate treatment strategies and will understand when to refer for advanced interventions such as pacemaker implantation.
