What’s Next
In 2026, Skillvet will launch a Veterinary Radiology and Abdominal Ultrasound course, as well as a Veterinary Anesthesia course. All courses will be highly practical and hands-on, with individualised homework for each delegate, a dedicated specialist mentor, multiple small group practical training sessions, and final exams leading to certification. We will also guide you towards social events and local attractions to enrich your experience.

Dedicated professionals driving our success
Laurent Locquet
Dr. Locquet is a Belgian-trained veterinary cardiologist who graduated from Ghent University in 2015.
He holds a Diplomate status from the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine – Cardiology (Dipl. ECVIM‑CA), is a certified perfusionist, and an Hon. Assistant Professor at the University of Nottingham.
He’s currently pursuing an MBA (class of ’25) and holds a postgraduate certificate in veterinary cardiology (GPCert‑VC).

June Boon
June Boon has worked in the field of veterinary echocardiography since 1980. She has helped define echocardiographic references ranges for several species.
She is the author and co-author of numerous manuscripts, several book chapters and the comprehensive reference book Veterinary Echocardiography.
The third edition is in the works. She was given an honorary Diplomate status from the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine in Cardiology, the only non-veterinarian to ever receive this honor.
She teaches veterinary echocardiography worldwide. She lives in Colorado and recently retired from Colorado State University as a clinical instructor in the cardiology department.
Alice Rădulescu
Dr. Alice Rădulescu is a Romanian veterinarian with over 20 years of experience specializing in ultrasound.
She is the founder of A&A Medical Vet Clinics in Bucharest and president of the Romanian Veterinary Cardiology Association.
A recognized expert and lecturer, she actively contributes to advancing veterinary medicine cardiology and nationally and internationally.
Michal Fiedler
Dr. Michal Fiedler is a veterinary cardiologist based in the Czech Republic, specializing in canine cardiology. He holds the EMSAVM (European Master of Small Animal Veterinary Medicine) certification in Cardiology and is affiliated with Cymedica, a veterinary pharmaceutical company.
Dr. Fiedler has contributed to the field through educational initiatives, such as webinars on the prevention and treatment of heart diseases in dogs.
His work focuses on identifying breed predispositions to cardiac conditions, establishing preventive screening protocols, and outlining treatment strategies for various stages of heart disease in canines.
Natacha De Visscher
Dr. Natacha De Visscher is a Belgian veterinarian specializing in cardiology.
She earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from the University of Liège in 2003. She later obtained a European Master of Small Animal Veterinary Medicine with a focus on cardiology.
Dr. De Visscher has been practicing veterinary cardiology on a referral basis since 2014 and has been performing cardiac surgery since 2015. Her areas of expertise include cardiology, internal medicine, imaging, and soft tissue surgery.
Ranko Georgiev
Dr. Ranko Georgiev is a distinguished Bulgarian veterinarian specializing in cardiology and diagnostic imaging. He is the manager and owner of Central Vet Clinic in Sofia, one of Bulgaria's leading veterinary hospitals, renowned for its advanced facilities and comprehensive care for small animals.
Dr. Georgiev has made significant contributions to veterinary medicine through his clinical work, research, and education.He has served as the Chairman of the Bulgarian Association for Veterinary Cardiology (BAVC), where he played a pivotal role in organizing national congresses and advancing cardiology education.
His expertise extends to interventional procedures such as pacemaker implantation and the management of complex cardiac and respiratory conditions in companion animals.
