Dr. Laurent Locquet

Dr. Laurent Locquet co-founded SkillVet and is a Diplomate of the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine (Cardiology), serving as Course Master and Scientific Director of its cardiology programs, where he has taught every module to date. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Ghent University. He completed his European Residency in cardiology at Ghent from 2017 to 2020, became a Diplomate ECVIM-CA in 2022, and was recognized as an RCVS Specialist the same year.
He is also a certified perfusionist (he completed the standard two-year certification program in a single year) and holds an MBA from the London School of Business and Finance. From 2022 to 2026, he practiced at Dick White Referrals in the UK, one of Europe's largest veterinary referral centers. He held an Honorary Associate Professorship at the University of Nottingham for four years.
Since February 2026, he has been self-employed, working through Laurent Locquet Veterinary Consultancy alongside SkillVet.
Nine years into a career built around veterinary cardiology, he brings that clinical experience directly into how he teaches a rhythm strip: one clear step at a time.
June Boon

June Boon has been teaching veterinary echocardiography since 1980. She is the author of Veterinary Echocardiography, Two Dimensional and M-Mode Echocardiography for the Small Animal Practitioner, and Doppler Echocardiography for the Small Animal Practitioner: the foundational texts that shaped how a generation of cardiologists learned to read and interpret the heart.
In 2023, she became the only non-veterinarian ever to receive an honorary Diplomate designation from the ACVIM Cardiology speciality board — a recognition that speaks for itself. She is an Emeritus Clinical Instructor at Colorado State University and continues to teach internationally on SkillVet's cardiology and echocardiography programs. Her presence in this program is not a guest appearance. She is part of the team.
Pamela Harrigan

Pamela Harrigan entered the field of echocardiography when it was still newly emerging, and has since worked across every corner of it: clinical practice, research, education, and publication, with both adult and pediatric patients.
Her clinical affiliations have included Massachusetts General Hospital and Lahey Clinic, where she served as lab technical director, along with a consulting role in special projects at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation's cardiac ultrasound laboratory.
She authored and co-authored numerous echocardiographic scientific papers, manuscripts, and book chapters, and wrote a textbook on the subject, Principles of Interpretation in Echocardiography — work that has earned her several awards from professional societies. She served as an associate editor of the Journal of the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers and sat on the executive boards of both the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers and the American Society of Echocardiography. For years, she directed a two-year school of echocardiography and lectured widely, both nationally and internationally.
For more than 20 years, her focus has extended into veterinary medicine, combining clinical work with teaching and training in ultrasound. She has served on the faculty of the ACVIM Forum Annual Scientific Meeting and continues to participate in and direct veterinary ultrasound seminars around the world.
Dr. Alice Rădulescu

Alice Rădulescu co-founded SkillVet. She has been in veterinary practice since 1999, with more than two decades focused on clinical cardiology and ultrasound. She is the head of cardiology and medical director at A&A Medical Vet in Bucharest, and has led the Romanian Association of Veterinary Cardiologists since 2020.
Her reputation was not built through titles. It was built through the cases that come to her when other clinics have run out of answers — from across Romania and beyond — and through decades of clinical precision that has made her the reference point in veterinary cardiology in the region. She is the clinician that other clinicians call. She has trained veterinarians who worked alongside her from their university years, and the professionals who trust her most are the ones who have seen her work.
She teaches on SkillVet's Echocardiography Mentorship, and leads the practical ultrasound teaching for the Bucharest modules of the Radiology and Ultrasonography Mentorship. She is also the reason both programs have a home in Bucharest.
Dr. Michal Fiedler
DVM, EMSAVM – Cardiology Veterinary cardiologist · Vetcardio_CZ, Czech Republic · SkillVet's Echocardiography Mentorship
Michal Fiedler has been working in veterinary cardiology since 2013 and earned his European certificate (EMSAVM in Cardiology) through the University of Luxembourg in 2016. Based in the Czech Republic, his clinical practice at Vetcardio_CZ extends into advanced echocardiographic techniques — including 3D imaging and interventional cardiology — areas that go well beyond standard diagnostic work.
He has been lecturing
in Europe and North America since 2012. For participants attending the
Echocardiography Mentorship, he brings both the proximity of local clinical
context and a specialist's depth in the more advanced dimensions of
echocardiography.
Dr. Natacha De Visscher
DVM, EMSAVM – Cardiology Private referral cardiologist · Belgium Member: ESVC · VCS UK · BVCG · IVUSS · SkillVet's cardiology and echocardiography programs
Natacha De Visscher moved into referral-level veterinary cardiology in 2014 and cardiac interventional surgery the following year. She holds an EMSAVM in Cardiology from the European School of Advanced Veterinary Studies (ESAVS), completed between 2012 and 2015, and is a member of the European Society of Veterinary Cardiology, the Veterinary Cardiovascular Society UK, the British Veterinary Cardiac Group, and the International Veterinary Ultrasound Society.
She has co-taught extended cardiology courses — including a 10-day format in France — and has worked alongside June Boon in hands-on echocardiography workshops. She brings both interventional experience and a track record in long-format, progressive cardiac teaching.
Dr. Ranko Georgiev
DVM, EMSAVM – Cardiology Co-founder and Senior Veterinarian · Central Vet Clinic, Sofia Chairman · Bulgarian Association for Veterinary Cardiology (BAVC) · SkillVet's cardiology and echocardiography programs
Ranko Georgiev has been in veterinary practice since 1999 and has focused on cardiology throughout his career. He is a co-founder and senior veterinarian at Central Vet Clinic in Sofia — one of Bulgaria's leading referral centres — and has chaired the Bulgarian Association for Veterinary Cardiology since its founding. His work has been published in the Journal of Veterinary Cardiology.
He trained under June Boon directly, completing her Basic I, II and Advanced I, II echocardiography workshop series, and has done clinical internships at Colorado State University and UC Davis — two of the highest-volume cardiology programs in the world. He is part of the same teaching lineage that runs through this program.
