Key Learning Objectives
- Understand ultrasound & Doppler principles, including artefacts and image optimization
- Acquire all standard right-, left- and subcostal echocardiographic views with diagnostic quality
- Perform a complete, systematic echocardiographic exam in dogs and cats
- Correctly obtain and interpret 2D, M-Mode and Doppler (PW, CW, Color) measurements
- Recognize normal cardiac anatomy and physiology across all core imaging planes
- Identify and stage acquired cardiac diseases such as MMVD, DCM and feline cardiomyopathies
- Diagnose and assess congenital defects including PDA, PS, SAS, VSD and ASD
- Apply Doppler hemodynamics, including pressure gradients and QP/QS calculations
- Receive structured mentoring between modules, complete homework assignments and prepare for both final theory and practical examinations
- Produce structured, guideline-based clinical reports and integrate findings into sound treatment decisions
Certification of completion and additional diploma when passing the exam
